Billy's Oven Baked Pork Butt

Who needs a smoker when you can get fall off the bone BBQ, four hours later, from your oven. This pork butt recipe will knock your socks off!

Ingredients

  • 4 - 5 lb boston butt
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup worcestershire

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees. Score the butt by making shallow cuts about 1/4 inch deep. ( This allows for better absorption of marinade/rub)
  • Mix paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder and sugar together. Rub over entire surface of pork. Place butt into a large Dutch oven, with lid.
  • Pour apple cider and worcestershire over butt.
  • Into the oven it goes, covered, at 300 degrees for 3 hours. After 3 hours, remove top and place back in oven for an additional hour but up temp to 350 for last hour of cooking.
