“What is your favorite kitchen appliance?”
I have so many but right now, hands down, the Instant Pot Duo 6-Quart
“How many meals do I need to plan for when meal planning”
I plan for six, Sunday – Friday but you have to decide what’s realistic for you and your family. Think about how many nights a week you currently cook and maybe start there. You can increase as you get the hang of it!
“How will I keep track of all the additional grocery/household items I’m out of to order each week?”
I keep a post it note sheet stuck to the inside of my pantry door. When we are running low on an item, or completely out, it goes onto the sticky sheet. I have the kids keep track of things they need as well – toothpaste, snacks etc. Then on Sundays I snag the sheet and add the items to my shopping cart.
“Do you really meal plan six nights a week?”
I get asked this question all of the time. YES. Meal planning and online shopping has truly saved my life. I don’t do it for fun – I do it because it saves me time, energy and keeps my health on track.
“How does meal planning keep you healthy?”
Another question I get asked a ton. It’s simple – when you meal plan you HAVE A PLAN and when you have a plan you are a million times more likely to stick with the plan. If the plan is a relatively healthy one, which DwtD is, you are already way ahead of the game.
“How do you have time to meal plan?”
If you have 30 extra minutes, one day a week, you have the time to meal plan. The hard part is planning the meals and I’m doing that for you!
“What’s your favorite meal?”
This is a toughie. I have so many favorite foods. Can I choose two? Crab legs and lasagna. How’s that for an answer??!!!
“Best parenting advice?”
I’m no expert but since I have two almost teenagers I guess I can weigh in. I think the best advice I can give to you is to get out of their way. (Obviously this advice is not intended for the one year olds of the world) Don’t do everything for them – remember, you are raising your children to become responsible, and productive, members of society. Doing everything for them, including making excuses, doesn’t do anyone any good.
