I love decorating for the holidays but I can’t quite bring myself to spend hundreds of dollars on items I’m only going to have on display for a few weeks. For this reason, I try to incorporate inexpensive décor I can use for more than just one occasion.
Like this gorgeous 6.5 foot fake eucalyptus garland for only $18 on Amazon. It comes in two separate pieces – part eucalyptus and part willow vine twig. It was unbelievable easy to intertwine and shape to my mantle needs. I will easily be able to transition this piece from Halloween/Thanksgiving to Christmas and beyond.
This adorable “BOO” garland is from Harris Teeter – no lie. I was able to snag it, on sale, a week or two before Halloween for about $10. Grocery stores have seriously stepped up their décor game in the past year or so. Be sure to check out their after holiday sales!
The only other items I purchased for this mantle scape were the gourds and pumpkins. The gorgeous gold guy was only $9.99 from Home Goods – I felt the mantle needed a little more height and the gold is such a perfect tone for fall. The remaining are all real and came from Harris Teeter. Gourds & pumpkins can keep, inside, for up to six months and are crazy inexpensive, especially from places like your local grocery store. Plus, they are really easy to paint!! (See last week’s Paint-A-Pumpkin post for tips/tricks!)
