Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mommas, mommas-to-be, pet mommas – basically happy day to all of the women out there who take care of someone or something other than yourselves, 24 hours a day! We all deserve a thank you and a day of rest. Isn’t that what every mom really wants on this day? To be left alone? A day when no one is asking you to find something or make something or fix something. Don’t get me wrong – being Regan and Ava’s momma is the greatest joy of my life but I need a break. And you know what, that’s OK. It’s OK to think it, say it out loud and make it happen. You deserve it. If you want to drive to the beach. alone, with a good book and a jug full of margaritas, do it. ( Take an uber, but do it!) Or stay in bed all day binge watching The Outer Banks eating take out food and drinking a fountain coke – go for it girl. This is the one day, out of 365, we get to put ourselves first. No guilt, no regret – just pat yourself on the back and enjoy your day the way you WANT to enjoy it. Then wake up on Monday, refreshed & reenergized, and get back to the job you love the most!
